The Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds of dog in the world. By the time the turn of the century came about, Labrador Retrievers were appearing in the British Kennel Club’s events and while there have been strains of Labradors up to this time it is still unknown just how many of these dogs were folded into Labradors or into other breeds as the registrations began to separate. Labradors were first imported to the United States during World War I, and it was then that they began being used more as a gun dog.
